Camp Secure Sense 2019 Recap
Thank you to everyone who made it out to Camp Secure Sense 2019! We appreciate each and every one of you that took time out of your professional and personal lives to come celebrate our 5th year anniversary. This event wouldn’t be possible without you all!
Our day kicked off with Peter, our CEO, leading the opening ceremonies.
From there Campers went right into the high energy morning icebreaker – Security Speed Dating – to start our day off strong.
Morning sponsor presentations followed Speed Dating, leading us to our Secure Sense Lunch Keynote with Matthew Watkinson’s presentation: Operationalizing Your Own Cyber-Army.
Morning sponsor presentations included: Fortinet, Cymulate, Tenable, & CrowdStrike.
After a delicious lunch, we enjoyed more exciting sponsor presentations until our afternoon icebreaker activity – Security Trivia!
Afternoon sponsor presentations included: Mimecast, ZeroFox, Gigamon, Rubrik, Arista, SentinelOne, BugCrowd, Thycotic, ProofPoint, Cofense, Cisco, Carbon Black, & FireEye.
We moved from Security Trivia to the Expo Hall for happy hour and appetizers where our customers and sponsors had the opportunity to connect, play Spin the Wheel to win prizes, and have some drinks. The sun came out and we were able to enjoy some time outside in the beautiful weather!
The group made their way to dinner to enjoy a very exciting keynote presentation from Doug Gilmour who talked about his success and experience as a NHL hockey player. The crowd was so excited they started the night off with a standing ovation for Doug and ended with some audience questions.
The party began after dinner at the Camp Secure Sense Backyard Bash. The backyard tunes were hosted by DJ Danny D, while we had some fun playing beer pong, backyard games, and watching the Toronto Raptors play! We had lots of photo ops, Edible Selfie cookies, a cigar table, and tastings from our Bourbon table. We also can’t forget about the delicious late night munchies – poutine bar, nachos, and a BBQ station!
Day two
Day two started off with a full breakfast and moved into morning sponsor presentations until lunch. We ended another great year at Camp with Closing Ceremonies and prizes, lead by Lori-Ann.
